Dr. Oh, Dong Yep (30) who earned his bachelor's, master's and doctorate's at YU (President Noh, Seok Kyun) was listed in 'Marquis Who's Who in the World 2014', one of the three top biographical dictionaries in the world.
'Marquis Who's Who in the World', which is published in the US, selects their figures through a strict screening process among those who made significant achievements in various sectors throughout the world.
Dr. Oh published 13 theses from 2011 through studies on the taste of beef by studying SNP [single nucleotide polymorphism - general mutation that appears in various DNA sequence in single parts of chromosomes] in the genes of cows with the goal of producing high quality beef. Eight of these theses were published in SCI level journals including Animal Genetics, the world's most prestigious livestock academic journal.
Dr. Oh enrolled at the YU Department of Applied Microbiology. After graduating in February 2009, he worked on his master's degree at the YU Graduate School of Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology from March 2009, and after completing his PhD course, he earned his doctorate's degree on February 21 of this year. He is currently working as a researcher in charge of animal genomics R&D at the Hanwoo (Korean Native Cattle) Research Lab of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Livestock Research Institute.
