'YU Tech-Biz Meeting' held at the Chunma Arts Center on the 9th

YU (President Noh, Seok Kyun) is rolling up its sleeves for the commercialization of excellent technologies possessed by the university.
YU will host the 'YU Tech-Biz Meeting' together with the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea at the Chunma Arts Center from 1 P.M. to 7 P.M. on the 9th.
YU will concentrate on technologies in the 4 specialized fields of the Daegu Special R&D Zone (Smart IT, Mechatronics, Medical devices/materials and Green Energy) and hold the technology presentations and commercialization consulting for companies. Over 50 companies including representative local companies such as Heesung Electronics, Daesung Hi-Tech, Tyco Electronics Amp, and Ohsung Electronics will join the event.
At this event, the excellent technology transfers and technology commercialization cases of the YU Center for LINC (director Lee, Hee Young) will be presented, while exhibiting the outstanding technologies of YU, hold 2014 LINC project presentations and corporate meetings, and the technology and patent consulting booths for participating companies will be operated by the YU Technology Licensing & Business Center (director Choi, In Ho).
There will be 34 technologies on exhibit including Professor Jang, Ja Soon's (Department of Electronic Engineering) 'Car Lane Detection Method and Device' and Professor Kim, Chong Gun's (Department of Computer Engineering) 'Chair with standing-up aid'. Also scheduled are research presentations such as 'Safety Earphone System and Method for constructing thereof' by Professor Choi, Kwon Hue (Department of Information and Communication Engineering), 'Metal nanowire produced by using microwave and metal nanowire produced therefrom' by Professor Kim, Hae Kyoung (School of Materials Science and Engineering), and 'Night-time vehicle detection and positioning system and method using multi-exposure single camera' by Professor Jung, Ho Youl (Department of Information and Communication Engineering).
YU Center for LINC Director Lee, Hee Young (56, School of Materials Science and Engineering) who prepared for this event said, "This is truly creative economy as it establishes a basis for the excellent technologies possessed by the university to result in actual commercialization," while adding, "This will be an opportunity for industry-academic technology exchange where the outstanding technologies of the university are introduced to companies."
Meanwhile, a technology transfer signing ceremony for the 'Method for producing aluminum nitride powder' by Professor Jung, Woo Sik (59) of the YU School of Chemical Engineering, which received support from the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning's 'Research Achievement Commercialization Support Project', will also be carried out. The company receiving the technology transfer is LCT (CEO Choi, Ho Sung), a company that manufactures fine chemical products. YU will receive a 300 million won technology transfer free and receive a 1~1.5% (worth about 20 billion won) portion of the annual sales by applying this technology until 2031.
