Coach Lee Jung-hwa participated as the coach of Team Korea to take home overall first place

YU Judo Team Choi Min-cheol (22, Sports Science, senior) won the silver medal in the men’s under 100kg division at the 12th East Asian Judo Championship held at the Gangwon-do Donghae Gymnasium from June 1 to June 2.
Choi Min-cheol dominated his Taiwanese counterpart in the semi-finals winning by ippon, but unfortunately lost against Mongolia’s Odbaatar and had to be satisfied with the silver medal.
Meanwhile, Coach Lee Jung-hwa of YU was selected as the coach of Team Korea for this event held in Korea and contributed greatly in Korea winning the team event, and taking overall first place with 3 golds, 3 silvers and 1 bronze medal in individual events.
