The Institute of School Education was established in Oct. 1 1997. The primary goal of the Institute is to promote the development of 'school education' and 'teacher deucation' of the nation by conducting scientific research on teaching subjects and various issues arising from elementary and secondary schools. The Institute holds seminars about the practical issues about education of Korea and currently publishes the Journal of School Education semiannually since its establishment.
